Manufacturing Programs for Different Development Requirements
KAMAX works with existing motorcycle platforms as well as dedicated development programs. Project scope is assessed against technical requirements, the destination market, component sourcing and planned production volume.

Private-Label Manufacturing
Established KAMAX models can be produced under a customer’s brand, with customized colors, logos, decals, product labels, seat finishes, manuals and packaging.

Configuration-Based OEM
Selected platforms can be adapted through compatible components and equipment to meet an agreed product specification.

ODM & New-Model Development
For projects requiring new vehicle designs or substantial modifications to existing models, KAMAX undertakes dedicated engineering development, prototype validation and production preparation.

01 / DEVELOPMENT
Engineering Development & Vehicle Validation
Development begins with a review of the proposed motorcycle specifications, technical requirements and destination market.
Depending on the project, engineering work includes frame design, bodywork development, powertrain matching, tooling and prototype construction. Multiple prototype revisions and road tests may be required to address technical issues and validate the vehicle configuration.
02 / TRIAL PRODUCTION
Trial Production & Manufacturing Readiness
Before regular mass production of newly developed models, KAMAX conducts trial production to assess assembly procedures, component fitment and manufacturing feasibility under production conditions.
Findings from trial production are used to adjust components, refine assembly methods and update production documentation. The final manufacturing configuration is confirmed following the applicable engineering validation and trial-production reviews.

03 / CONTROLLED PRODUCTION
Specification Control & Engineering Changes
The approved sample and technical specifications establish the production reference, covering agreed components, equipment, finishes, labels, packaging and other project requirements.
KAMAX applies Specification Freeze and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) procedures to control approved configurations and subsequent technical changes. The ECN process includes engineering review, risk assessment, required approvals, documentation updates, production release and verification.
Changes to approved critical components are reviewed before implementation. Where customer approval is required, revised specifications are confirmed before release to production.
05 · Commercial Terms by Project Type
OEM & ODM Order Requirements
KAMAX evaluates OEM and ODM order requirements according to the selected motorcycle platform, customization scope, tooling needs and planned production volume.
MOQ, production lead time and project-specific costs are confirmed based on the agreed specifications and commercial terms.
01 · Existing Models & Private Label
1 × 40ft
Typical MOQ reference
30–45 Days
Typical production lead time; contract terms apply
02 · Custom Configuration
Projects requiring special components, additional validation or dedicated tooling are evaluated against technical feasibility, supplier minimum quantities and planned order volume.
The applicable MOQ, costs and production schedule are determined by the project scope.
03 · New Motorcycle Development
Projects involving new frames, bodywork, tooling or substantial platform changes require separate engineering and commercial assessment.
Development costs, tooling investment, mold ownership, intellectual property arrangements, validation milestones and production commitments are defined in the project agreement.
04 · Market-Specific Requirements
Changes to an existing vehicle configuration may affect its applicable approvals. Regulatory and documentation requirements are reviewed against the destination market and final technical specification.
Further details are available under Motorcycle Homologation & Compliance.
