02 · SUPPLY FORMATS

Three Supply Formats for Different Assembly Operations

SKD and CKD definitions, customs treatment and local-content requirements vary by market. The exact supply configuration must be confirmed against the applicable destination-country regulations.

CBU — Completely Built Unit

Finished Motorcycle Supply

Motorcycles are fully assembled and inspected at KAMAX before shipment.
CBU is intended for importers and distributors that require finished vehicles without operating a local assembly line. Receiving inspection and pre-delivery inspection (PDI) are performed as applicable after arrival.

SKD — Semi-Knocked-Down

Partially Disassembled Motorcycle Supply

Motorcycles are shipped with selected components removed for assembly at the destination.
Depending on the model, these may include wheels, handlebars, body panels and other components. KAMAX confirms the disassembly scope, packing arrangement and assembly requirements before production.

CKD — Completely Knocked Down

Component Kits for Local Motorcycle Assembly

Motorcycles are supplied as organized parts and assemblies for local production.
KAMAX prepares the agreed component breakdown, parts lists and packing arrangements to support the receiving assembly operation. CKD supply is intended for partners with the facilities, personnel and quality-control capability required for local motorcycle assembly.

03 · KIT PREPARATION & PACKING

Component Preparation, Parts Control & Export Packing

For SKD and CKD programs, accurate component preparation and packing are essential to efficient receiving and local assembly.
KAMAX prepares parts and assemblies against the approved motorcycle configuration, with identification and packing information to support shipment checks and assembly operations.

01

Component Breakdown & Kit Preparation

The agreed breakdown identifies which parts and assemblies are supplied for each motorcycle configuration. Component quantities and references follow the confirmed specification and parts list.

✔

02

Parts Identification & Packing Lists

Component references, carton markings and packing lists help receiving teams verify deliveries, identify parts and organize materials for assembly.

✔

03

Protective Packing & Container Loading

Frames, engines, wheels, body panels and electrical components require appropriate protection during handling and transport.
Packing arrangements consider component dimensions, transport conditions and container loading requirements.

✔

04

Packing for Local Assembly

Where required, packaging can be organized around the receiving plant’s storage, material handling and assembly sequence.
Parts identification and packing requirements are confirmed before the supply configuration is released for production.

04 · LOCAL ASSEMBLY SUPPORT

Assembly Documentation, Video Instructions & Technical Support

KAMAX provides technical materials to support SKD and CKD assembly at the destination facility.
Documentation and training materials are matched to the supplied motorcycle model and assembly configuration.

01. Parts Lists & Assembly Instructions

Available materials may include component references, parts lists, assembly sequences, installation requirements and relevant inspection points, according to the motorcycle model.

02. SKD & CKD Video Assembly Instructions

Step-by-Step Visual Guidance for Local Technicians
KAMAX provides assembly tutorial videos for SKD and CKD motorcycle programs.

The videos demonstrate relevant component installation, assembly sequences and technical checkpoints, giving local technicians a practical reference alongside written instructions.

Video guidance can be matched to the supplied motorcycle model and assembly configuration. It supports technician training but does not replace qualified personnel, approved tools or final quality inspection.
